Women: The top 33 in November

The new ratings are out, and we can see who has been in the best form. It's Radjabov and Morozevich amongst the men while Women's No.1 Judit Polgar has been on the rise. A younger generation are making headway, Anna Muzychuk is up to fourth for the first time, while Kateryna Lahno is just behind, with 22-year-old Valentina Gunina making further progress.

In the November 1st list (taken from the FIDE site) g= Grandmaster, m= International master and wg= Women's grandmaster.

There are now three Chinese in the top ten, with Ju Wenjun and Zhao Xue making strides up the ratings. The Kosintseva sisters have slipped back, as the form of both the leading Russian pair has been indifferent. One of their compatriots who has been moving in the right direction however is Valentina Gunina, up to 13th and now over 2500 for the first time.
