Another good day for South Americans as Brazilian Diego Rafael Di Berardino beat Gata Kamsky, and Peruvian Jorge Cori downed Francisco Vallejo Pons. These two matches will be among a total of seventeen that will require tie-breaks tomorrow. Peter Leko (18th seed) and Wang Yue (27th seed) didn't recover from their first day losses and are the highest-rated players on their way home.

Most of the favourites are through although a few will be in the tie-breaks tomorrow. A couple of 2700 pluses however will be arranging an early flight home.
